Our interests lie in synthetic organic chemistry. We are particularly interested in developing new routes to access structurally complex three-dimensional architectures.Towards this aim we are particularly interested in:
- The reactivity of small-ring systems - their synthesis, cleavage, and modification
- The synthesis of polycyclic, predominantely aliphatic hydrocarbon scaffolds
- The application of this chemistry in the synthesis of natural products and functional molecules that may be of interest to medicinal chemistry and materials science
