Voluntary work in juvenile detention
Get involved now!
The sanction of juvenile detention affects a very heterogeneous group of young people and adolescents. The reasons for placement in juvenile detention range from truancy to property and financial offenses to violent crimes. The young people are usually held for up to a week, sometimes up to a month, in the juvenile detention center in Verden, Göttingen department. Recently, financial resources that were used for leisure activities, among other things, have been cut. Therefore, we are looking for students who would like to volunteer to help with the leisure activities! Volunteering provides important insights into everyday life in a juvenile detention center.
