Canada
Canada, the second largest country in the world in terms of area, regularly achieves a very high quality of life index. Accordingly, it is an immigrant-rich country. Most of Canada’s population inhabits the strip near the US border, leaving large parts of the north uninhabited. The official languages of Canada are English and French, but some of the indigenous languages also have official status. The University of Göttingen has partnerships with McMaster University in Hamilton and Université Laval in Québec through the Global Exchange Programme.
