Research

In the project "Environmental pressures and resources: social inequalities and health consequences" we are examining for the cities of Hanover and Braunschweig the extent to which households are affected to different degrees by environmental pollution (noise and air pollution) and have different access to environmental resources (green spaces, parks, etc.). We also ask to what extent environmental pollution and environmental resources affect the well-being and health of the population. We pay particular attention to the question of whether different population groups benefit to different degrees from the health effects of green spaces and parks.
The project is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry for Science and Culture as part of the Pro*Niedersachsen program.
